Hi there! My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood and we want to put up a fence to keep our dogs in. Do I need to have HOA approval before I put it up? If so, how do I go about that?

Welcome to Shannamara!

You will need to contact the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) for approval of your fence plans. There are several different types of fences that are already approved by the ACC but there are other restrictions on height and proximity to the golf course, etc. You should have received the HOA covenants info when you closed on your house, but if you didn't you can read it on the HOA website at shannamara.info Once you are logged into that website click on Resources / Documents / ACC

thank you. the fence contractor is familiar with the subdivision and is acquiring approval for me.

i requested to be admitted to the hoa website, but have yet to receive a response.

i appreciate your information.
