Hey all,
Just wanted to know if there was any fish in the pond or whether it was even legal to fish in it.
Thanks! |

Hi,
Good question, I'd like to know this too. I'll ask the mgt. company. |

Braesael Management was clueless. This was their reply to whether or not we can fish in the Shannamara pond:
"I don’t know of a pond that belongs to Shannamara. This may belong to The Divide."
They did not provide any other information or offer to find out the correct answer. What a lame reply.
I say go fish with permission of the property owner. |

Wow, that is disappointing that our own HOA company doesn't know about the huge Shannamara Pond. And their slogan is ""Serving Your Community With Distinction." LOL. _________________ Our Neighborhood Network

That's really too bad. My girlfriend lives here and I visit her at least 2 days out of the week. I might as well live here haha. I would really love to find out if I can fish here or not. I have already gotten permission to fish the ponds in the golf course. My girlfriend's dad called and they said everyone fishes there all the time. Just make sure you stay out of the way of the golfers and you should be good.
I caught three bass in one of the ponds. One of them was a nice 5lb bass.
If you guys find anything out about the big pond though, let me know.
Thanks! |

Wow, a 5lb bass in the neighborhood? That's pretty cool.
I have fished on "Lake Shannamara" several times and the people that live around it (that I have interacted with) were all very nice and didn't care at all. Our HOA is kind of a joke so ignore their ignorance of the lake rules and just go fish. And if you see a property owner, go say hi and to be nice, confirm with them that they don't care that you are fishing there.
Good luck and let us know what you catch. |
